Key Responsibilities:

  • System Integration: Integrate machine vision and robotic systems into PC or PLC-based automation solutions for seamless operation.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide remote troubleshooting and technical support for systems to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Design Documentation: Create and maintain supporting design documentation.
  • Project Communication: Communicate project costs, timelines, and progress updates.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyse inspection data to verify the robustness and performance of changes.
  • Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customers to ensure optimal implementation and an exceptional customer experience.
  • Feasibility & Sales Support: Assist in evaluating the feasibility of automation projects and support the sales process with technical insights.
  • Testing & Feedback: Assist in generating and executing software test protocols, providing feedback to developers for continuous improvement of automation systems.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree (2.1 or higher) in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with automation systems, robotic technologies, and control systems. Experience with PLCs, robotics (e.g., Universal Robots, ABB, KUKA, Fanuc), or vision systems (e.g., Cognex) is a plus.
  • Innovation: A passion for solving complex problems and driving innovation in robotics and automation.
  • Teamwork: Strong ability to work collaboratively within dynamic teams while taking ownership of tasks.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and team interactions.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally within Ireland and the EU for short-term customer support assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in automated inspection systems or robotics through internships, projects, or coursework.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols.
  • Exposure to machine vision technologies or AI systems.
